Does anyone buy broken items and return them?

Ill explain say you have a broken product on ebay and buy it and buy the exact same on amazon,etc. could you return the make a return for the amazon purchase but replace the amazon product with the ebay/broken one?
I have been thinking about this and how well it might work?
Does anyone have any exp with this?

will damage ur amazon account, U will end up OFM'd if u do that too much. Once or twice is ok tho
