A friend of mine from a tiny town just sold out his first digital concert last month, and I couldn’t be happier for him. There’s no way he could have filled a club in real life, but online he reached fans from all over. Makes me think—are virtual shows giving more artists a real shot now? Anyone else seen local acts blow up thanks to digital gigs?

pff I would not pay to watch someone virtually perform a concert. The whole reason for going to a concert is the experience, besides that you might as well just listen to a studio recording or a bootleg of it later.

Absolutely, virtual shows are leveling the playing field. I’ve watched artists with zero “industry connections” suddenly get traction online and build audiences way bigger than they’d get in their hometowns. There’s a great article about https://digitalresidency.com/virtual-per...roduction/ if you want to see how people are breaking through. It’s exciting that talent isn’t limited by location anymore—if you’ve got something to share, there’s an audience out there.
