I joined a local clean-up event in Kelowna last weekend and, honestly, I didn’t expect it to be so fulfilling. I signed up last-minute just to try something different, but it ended up being such a positive experience. We collected bags of litter from a small park by the lake that I always walk by, and now it looks amazing. Plus, I met a few people from my area I’d never talked to before. Does anyone else here take part in these community events? I'd love to hear what it's like in other parts of BC.

That’s great to hear — I had a similar experience in Langley earlier this year. We helped clear out debris along a trail near my neighborhood, and not only did it feel good to contribute, but the vibe with everyone there was super friendly. If you're curious about what’s going on in other communities, I usually check bc local — it’s got a solid roundup of upcoming clean-up events and volunteer initiatives across the province. That’s how I found the one I joined!
