Have been doing this with my go-to bottle of fragrance for a good 3 years now, so just in case anybody would like to know a method that does not involve DNA or FTID...
1.First you will need to have an empty bottle of the fragrance you are looking for. If you are just trying to duplicate a fragrance you already own, wait for it to eventually finish, or if you do not want to go out and buy one in the first place, search EBay for an empty bottle of whatever you want, they are VERY cheap.
2.Buy the fragrance from your retailer of choice.
3.Break the empty bottle of the fragrance you want, try to get it to break into a few pieces, not a million pieces.
4.Wet the fragrance box a good bit, a bottle of fragrance would not smash without it getting everywhere and the box not becoming visually pliable from the liquid damage.
5.Call and say that you bought your fragrance as a gift, but it arrived smashed. Saying that you bought it as a gift allows you to later segue into asking for a refund to go purchase it instore instead of just being offered a replacement.
6.They will ask for pictures, take a good couple and send to them. Save the smashed bottle and repeat it with other fragrance websites. A bottle of my cologne lasts me abour 3 months, and when it runs out I purchase it from another retailer and take some pictures for them.
