Limit: 2 items under $250 (Preferably small and light) (safe limit for both methods)
Incorrect item received
Once your order arrives, wait a day or 2 before contacting customer service. Simply tell them you received the wrong item. You can really make up whatever item you tell them you received, make sure it's small, similar weight, cheap and on the website. Bonus points if you can find a pic of the item + say you received a item that can't be returned (underwear, jewellery, beauty products) If all goes well, they will refund you on the spot without you even having to return the item!!
Fake return **NOT WORKING IN AUSTRALIA**
Once your order arrives, wait a day or 2 before contacting customer service. Tell them you would like to make a return. Start the return but do not send it. Wait 14 days and contact customer service. Tell them it's been a fortnight since you sent your return and you have not received any updates on it. If all goes well, they will just deem the return as lost and you will be refunded.
The reason this does not work in Australia is due to Asos not giving return labels but instead QR codes to be scanned by the post office. Some other countries may be the same but I don't exactly know...
Bonus Tips
2 refunds per card, device, ip and details. Make sure you are changing these after every 2nd refund (Revolute, hotspot, jigg dets, etc.) You also need general social engineering knowledge for this. Do your homework!
