may know, or not know, you can make money with spotify even if you are not an artist.
I will use examples in this thread.
Our genre is Rap music in this example, because that's the only genre that I am familiar with.
So you make playlist for genre or sub-genres or languages, German trap, German Drill, Latin-America Rap etc.
Find something that is not saturated, but have a listening-audience and a lot of new upcoming artists.
Make a cover design, a pattern design for playlist's name and a simple bio with some emojis.
Just make it cool and fancy.
If you get a few thousand but atleast a hundred followers you can put your insta, website or email contact for promotion and you can start selling spots for your playlist, or just put your own music on the playlist and get some fix listeners to start build up a fan base.
Along with this you can grow a youtube channel with lyrics videos, slowed reverb reuploads, documentaries about artists, or just make an instagram, a blog or tiktok. There several options.
And the method that you came for:
Let's say Drake will release a music soon, there are leaks and a lot of people are waiting for the music to be released. You will change your playlist name to the artist name and the music that will be released like: [Artist Name] - [Music Name] That's all, you can photoshop an album cover and then make a seperated instagram or fiverr for selling album covers, if you are not that creative just put something of Drake (I am not sure if that will work), if it is a not released music but it has a release date already, you can grab the album cover from distrokid or somewhere else and put that as the playlist's album cover. I got 100+ followers in 4 days with this method with an underground artist, then I changed back the playlist name and spotify still lists my playlist if you search for their music, still getting followers.
