Don't think of keys as “tools” — think of them as identities. If your private key leaks, so do you. If you reuse a key across multiple accounts, someone only needs to compromise one identity to trace the others. 🧠 Good PGP Habits That Actually Matter

Don’t just “use PGP”. Use it well. Here’s how people mess it up:

They upload their keys to public keyservers — fingerprinted forever

They use the same key on multiple platforms — linked forever

They leave private keys unencrypted on a PC — pwned forever

They skip fingerprint checks — tricked forever

Good PGP practice is about discipline, not just encryption. Keep your private key off your main machine if you can. Create unique keys for each persona. Don’t store full keys on cloud services, don’t paste encrypted blobs in plaintext DMs, and never sign anything unless you’re prepared to take full ownership of it forever.

You can lie in text. You can’t lie in math.

🧊 Cold Storage, Subkeys & Real Anonymity
