Hey. I'm looking for one reverse engineer working primarily with FF4 PSP (Final Fantasy IV: Complete Collection) and PS1 emulators (PS1 AKAO sound primarily), MIPS architecture, and FF4's binary formats including .TM2 textures, LZTX compressed archives, special effects modification, event script decompilation and recompilation, battle system editing, text string editing, and more.

Based on milestones: immediate and always half ($250) upfront and half ($250) upon completion (PayPal); starting immediately.

The tool will be made to edit most games (breaking overhaul/milestone). I prefer the tool to be wrapped in a basic win32 UI. A simple UI like this:

1. Party - edit character stats, LV stats, growth, etc.

2. Abilities - edit/add/remove ability slots, edit ability statuses, character ability list, commands, etc.

3. SpecialFX - edit Magic Specials Effects and screen framebuffer effects.

4. Inventory - edit/add/remove items and equipment.

5. Maps - edit game ".CN2" maps, add new maps, set collision, remove unused maps, etc. Also can edit script here compared to each map and world map, also add or remove new world map slot.
Game Event Script ("Game Logic" as it is sometimes called) I tried to reverse engineer it and decompile it to "C-like" syntax (I am familiar with this language provided) to recompile my changes.

All of the game strings are in one file for each three languages: English, Japanese and French: `message_xx.lzs` (en, fr, jp; "message_en.lzs").

6. Enemies - edit stats, LV, statuses and abilities etc. I also tried to decompile monster AI scripts to the same "C-like" syntax to recompile changes/additions.

7. Menu - editor to edit/animate (add/increase/decrease frame speed etc), scale/resize game's UI/battle UI elements in the game.

8. Shops - edit/add/remove shop data.

9. Textures - replacing/adding new/removing .tm2 textures.

10. Permanent patches /PRX plugins.

I have my pre-work attached here, file: (FF4_PSP.zip) , which covers the game's special FX sequence structure, the data file structure, the data files/folder and what they do in game, and the magic spell data for all character abilities.
I'm also using my own build of PPSSPP emulator, which was changed to only run FF4 PSP. I also changed memory and clock parameters for the use of higher resolution .TM2 textures. I also changed the game's PSP save data; now it saves to one single file.
Looking for 1 romhacker/programmer to help me with my project.
