Before we start the recovery, you will need the following things:
- Some reliable VPN provider
- Potentially Original E-Mail of your account
- Common Sense
- Patience
Initial preparation:
For extra safety, you can do these steps whenever you feel like you'd get banned very soon (for example streamer spectating you and you do some sus shit). This is not required, but increases your chances.
When you receive a live-ban or realized you're banned, check your mails first. If there is no mail, you can continue.
1. Close Origin (not required to close steam since they don't have track of steam data).
2. Connect to some VPN region (preferably something other than the country you live in). All these steps below need to be done with VPN.
3. Go to origin website, attempt to log in into your account with wrong passwords (try different passwords multiple times)
4. After simulating failed login attempts with wrong passwords, you input the correct one so you're logged in.
5. You change your account region, your account password and your account name.
6. Start the game and trigger the ban-message by trying to queue into trios/duos.
7. Close game, close Origin (you dont need to close steam). Switch VPN region, start game and trigger ban message again. Do this 4-5 times.
8. Once you're done - close everything. Be sure to close origin first. Then disconnect from VPN and wait.
9. The steps above simulated a "hack". EA support will think you got hacked.
9. Check your email inbox and wait for the delayed ban notification email from EA.
10. If you have received the mail, we continue with the second phase. Playing the "innocent" role:
Dont log in into your account till you receive a ban-mail. Make sure of that.
1. All these steps below are done without using a VPN (real IP)
2. Go to origin website
3. Try to login into your account with your old password (which got changed) 3-4 times.
4. Then you reset your password.
5. Once you resetted your password and logged in into your account, you start Apex with your real IP.
6. Trigger ban message 3-4 times by queueing into trios/duos.
7. Close game and contact EA live support.
8. There comes your story. Tell them something like "I wanted to play after long time Apex today with my friends but I could not login into my account."
9. Tell them your password was changed. So you needed to reset your password in order to have access to it.
10. Also tell them when you started Apex you realized your Level, Legends and Name has changed.
11. You tried to queue into a match and it said that your account is banned.
12. Tell them that many things changed on your account but you weren't even playing yourself.
13. Support will probably ask you to verify ownership of your account by sending a 6-digit verification code to your email. Give them the code. Also might want you to reset your password through a link, just do it.
14. Ask the supporter if he can check your account so he can check what happened.
15. If you did everything right, the supporter should tell you that your account was compromised/hacked. That's what you want to hear! It's a big W if they say that.
16. Now be some emotional, tell him something like "why would anyone ever do this??? I just wanted to play Apex with my friends but now some hacker ruined it all. Please help me I'm almost crying...".
17. Getting emotional helps sometimes. I'll explain later why.
18. Supporter will tell you that he will help you to solve the problem.
19. Supporter will probably redirect the case to the ToS-Team. Now it's about waiting.
20. Once you're unbanned, you should receive a mail saying "suspicious activity" and shit and they want you to reset your password for safety reasons. Grats, it's unbanned.
General knowledge:
- Being emotional helps when the supporter is not a complete robot and able to feel. Some supporters put a helpful additional note to the case before redirecting it to the ToS. This will help alot and increase the chance for your unban.
- In this guide you're appealing for an unban, not account recovery (remember how you just recovered the account yourself because your old password didnt work, you got "hacked"). So don't change your E-Mail.
- You always act clueless when writing with EA live chat. You're the customer, you are the king. You are not supposed to know everything.
- Support might ask you what your real location and name is. Just answer with whatever it was before.
- If support asks you uncomfy questions (e.g. I see your account was already banned 1 week ago) you can dodge those questions by saying something entirely different, acting like a dumb customer (for example "I just want to play apex pls help").
- Each region handles those cases different. EU most likely asks alot and unbans faster (at least from what I've seen). India doesn't ask too much, but it takes a little longer.
- Every EA supporter is different. Some might be behave like a robot, some are actually nice people. Always be respectful and nice to them. Always blame the evil guy who "hacked" your account.
- You want the supporter to think that your account was hacked. Get him to the point where he says that himself.
- Unbans usually take 1-3 days. Fastest unban I've witnessed was a friend getting unbanned 50 minutes after writing with EA live chat.
- ToS-Team seems to be centralized and the same accross every region.
- ToS-Team does not check for hwid (I don't even think they have access to that). They can only review timestamps and other anomalies (e.g. IP login history, changed data and whatever else is shown in their backend).
- Don't be rushy with multiple case tickets. They will close your case if you spam.
