In this video, we break down one of the most common proxy connection errors — 407 Proxy Authentication Required
This error appears when the software can see the proxy but cannot authenticate with it: the username, password, or connection format is not accepted
🔥 We'll show the most common causes of this issue:
- Incorrect proxy format: IP:PORT:LOGIN:PASSWORD;
- Username and password are mixed up;
- The software does not support the required authentication format;
- The wrong protocol is selected: HTTP instead of SOCKS5, or vice versa;
- The password contains special characters that the software handles incorrectly;
- The proxy is entered without following the specific requirements of the tool being used
-
We'll also explain how to quickly diagnose the problem: test the proxy in a browser, proxy manager, antidetect browser, or proxy checker, and determine whether the issue is with the proxy itself, the format, the software, or the authentication settings
