🚨 How Scammers Infiltrate Communities as "Middlemen" to Steal Your Money 🚨

Some scammers don’t rush to take your money. Instead, they play the long game, gaining trust before executing their real scam. Here’s how they do it: 🧵👇

1️⃣ Step 1: Gaining Trust
They join a community (Telegram, Discord, forums, etc.) and act like helpful members, often offering to middleman trades or hold funds.

2️⃣ Step 2: Building a "Believable" Profile
They post free, valueless items and run giveaways to engage with the community. This makes them look generous and trustworthy while increasing their visibility.

3️⃣ Step 3: Completing Small Deals
At first, they do legit small transactions to build their reputation. They may even help settle disputes, making people believe they are fair and reliable.

4️⃣ Step 4: Waiting for the Big Opportunity
Once they’ve gained enough trust, they wait for a high-value transaction—this is their real target.

5️⃣ Step 5: The Exit Scam
They offer to middleman a big deal. As soon as the money is sent, they disappear—deleting chats, blocking users, and vanishing from the group.

6️⃣ Step 6: Repeating the Process
They move to a new community or use a new identity to start over, repeating the cycle.

🚨 How to Protect Yourself 🚨
Be skeptical of random giveaways and free offers.
✅ Only use verified middlemen by Admins with long-standing reputations.
Check their history—not just recent activity.
✅ Use escrow services instead of trusting individuals.
✅ If a middleman pushes for private chats or rushes deals, that’s a red flag.
Scammers build trust over time, but scams happen in seconds.

It's crazy to entrust your files, data, or information to a middleman—even if they seem legitimate. Can you really trust them with such valuable data? Would you hand over information worth thousands and be completely sure they won’t use it later, share it, or do something else with it? Absolutely not! There’s no way to guarantee that. That’s why you should always be extremely cautious when choosing a middleman. Personally, I was hesitant to use Liars as a middleman for some trades because the data I was selling was just too tempting. I had no doubt it would eventually be used in some way.
