It kind of is and it kind of isn’t. He’s making it seem much easier than it is in reality. This has been known for a while so they have caught onto our tricks and made things harder. For starters, in order to change the email/phone number etc. you’ll need to have access to one of them or give them a call and convince them that you no longer have access to either and get them to update it manually for you. That or convince them to add a guest to the room (you because you’ll be the one checking in) without doing a 2FA (it doesn’t allow you to change the guest name during checkout)
I’ve been told that if you call in the middle of the night you’ll get an outsourced call center and it’s easier to convince them to do it than the American one you get during the day
