Profile URL Routing: Redirect username to /user/username (Fix 404 Error)

Hi everyone / Admin team,
I noticed a small bug/inconvenience with how user profile URLs are handled on the site, which results in a 404 Not Found error.

• The Problem:
  Currently, if someone tries to access a profile directly using the format
  
  Code:

  https://patched.to
  (for example:
  
  Code:

  https://patched.to/nsa
  ), the site returns a 404 error page.
  
• How it actually works:
  To view the profile, the user is forced to type the full path:
  
  Code:

  https://patched.to
  (e.g.,
  
  Code:

  https://patched.to/user/nsa
  ).
  
• The Solution / Suggestion:
  It would be great if the developers could fix this routing bug so that both URLs work. Ideally, typing
  
  Code:

  https://patched.to
  should automatically rewrite or redirect the user to
  
  Code:

  https://patched.to
  .
  

This would prevent broken links, make sharing profiles much easier, and improve the overall user experience.
Hopefully, this can be implemented in the next update!

Hi @NSA,

Thanks for the report, but what you're describing isn't actually a bug, it's expected behavior. Profile links are intentionally structured as `patched.to/User/username`, and the `/User/` segment is required by design. What you're suggesting is more of a feature request (shorter vanity URLs), so I'm closing this thread. Feel free to repost it in Feedback & Suggestions if you'd like the team to consider it.
