Additional Information: On September 3rd I first contacted @rex to handle a refund for a Meta Quest 3. He claimed he would begin the refund process but after 4 to 5 days I received no updates from him or Meta. There were no emails and no signs of activity. Because of this I decided to go with another refunder named @huik who successfully completed the refund in just 2 days. I paid Hulk for the service since he actually did the work.

Now after the refund was processed Rex is trying to claim that he was the one who handled it and is demanding payment. He has not provided any concrete proof that he started or completed the refund process. When I checked with Meta directly they confirmed no refund request was started during the period he claimed to be working on it. This shows he did not perform the service yet he is trying to extort money by threatening to leak my address and reporting the refund as fraud.

In short Rex did nothing Hulk completed the refund and Rex is attempting to scam me after the fact by demanding payment for work he never did.

Timeline:

September 3 – I first contacted @rex to handle the refund for a Meta Quest 3. He said the process was being started.

September 4 to 7 – I received no updates from @rex and no emails or activity from Meta.

September 8 – Since nothing was happening I contacted another refunder @huik and submitted my order details to him.

September 10 – Hulk confirmed that the refund request was in progress.

September 13 – Meta confirmed that the refund was processed and completed. I paid Hulk for his service.

After September 13 – Rex claimed that he had done the refund even though Meta had confirmed no request was started during the time he said he was working on it. He is now trying to demand payment without proof.

Hello fine admins of patched, Here's my defense.

The order was given to me on september 3, in which i forwarded it to my worker and he immediately logged in (proof below with photos)
Also, the customer had deleted the form in our dms without my knowledge. So the picture will be missing his form but it was given on september 3.

Here the order was given, and below is the proof that it was sent to the worker and logged into immediately.

On September 3rd he confirmed that it was done, He had already logged in and done his job. Meta takes alot of going back and forth, it takes alot of time to do.
My worker confirmed the refund on september 16th. He was inactive for a couple days due to something irl. When he came back he had logged back into the account and got the confirmation.

This is when i asked for the payment (image below) The customer never once informed me that he's giving the order to somebody else, The refund was still being worked on from my end, Not only did he waste my time, he also wasted my money because the worker did his job and wants to be paid.

Also, the customer acknowledged his fault and attempted to give me 25 dollars as a payment implying he knew what he did was wrong. Yet he decides to not pay. (Image below)

I'd also like to add that i've got no problems with hulk, He had no knowledge of the customer sending me the order first.

Basically, He sent me the order first, i began working on it. He sent the order to somebody else without informing me. And when i asked for payment he denied. I Trust in the judgement of patched admins, I'm sure i'll get justice.

I would also like to add, the customer asked for proof of refund process but he had already logged me out, So i couldn't access the chat logs. Also meta does NOT take 2 days to process, Every refunder knows this proving that the process began way earlier than when the order was given to hulk.

Admins of patched,

Attached is an email I received directly from Meta on September 10th. In that email Meta clearly states that they will open an investigation. This wording shows that no prior investigation or refund request was active at that time, which directly contradicts Rex’s claim that he had already started and was processing the refund. If he had done anything, Meta’s support email would not have said that the process “will” begin.

Rex also claims he contacted Meta phone support, but Meta does not offer phone support. Their refund process is always handled by email and account support. This proves his story is fabricated.

After the refund was completed by Hulk on September 13th, Rex attempted to demand payment without proof and even resorted to threats. To de escalate, I offered him 25 dollars strictly as compensation for his time lost, not as payment for the refund service. He refused and instead tried to twist that into me admitting fault, which is false.

Timelines:

September 3 – Contacted Rex to handle the refund.

September 4–7 – No updates from Rex and no Meta activity.

September 8 – Contacted Hulk and submitted order details.

September 10 – Email from Meta Support confirmed that they will open an investigation (proves no previous refund request had been started).

September 13 – Refund processed successfully by Hulk. I paid him for the service.

After September 13 – Rex claimed he did the refund, demanded payment, twisted my goodwill offer of 25 dollars, and even threatened me without showing proof.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The evidence, especially the Meta Support email dated September 10, proves that Rex never started the refund. Hulk did the work, I paid Hulk, and Rex is attempting to scam me after the fact.

After reviewing all the information and evidence provided, the final decision is as follows. @rex was found to have lied about his involvement in the matter, therefore he will receive a one-month ban and his profile will be marked with DWC (Deal With Caution). The buyer @Maraxx is also at fault for assigning the same job to a second provider while the first refund was still in progress, without informing the original refunder. If @rex agrees, the buyer must pay him $25 as partial compensation for the confusion caused. This report is now closed.

After reviewing the report based on new evidence, it was determined that @rex was not at fault regarding the issue. The ban has been lifted, as the situation arose due to the buyer going to another refunder before the transaction was completed, which caused a misunderstanding.
