This scam was carried out through direct double impersonation.

The scammer contacted Keyupgrade on telegram with username (@beastmode_pto) while pretending to be buggcrack. At the same time, the scammer contacted buggcrack on telegram with username (@Returnjr) while pretending to be Keyupgrade.

After establishing both fake conversations, the scammer instructed both parties to verify each other via forum private messages. Since each side believed they were communicating with the legitimate counterparty, they unknowingly approved each other through forum pms. This created false trust and allowed the scam to proceed.

This is a known impersonation relay scam method, where one attacker pretends to be both sides and uses forum pm verification to legitimize the fraud.

In addition, the individual using the telegram username @beastmode_pto has also attempted to scam people by impersonating my middleman service before.
Furthermore, the telegram account @Returnjr, which contacted buggcrack, is controlled by the same person or group.

This individual (or these individuals) operates multiple telegram accounts, systematically impersonates other users, and repeatedly engages in fraud. Their behavior shows a complete lack of integrity and accountability.

To be absolutely clear:

Neither party involved in this case is responsible for the loss.
Both sides were deliberately manipulated through impersonation.

For other members, please take note:

Never trust Telegram usernames alone, even if they look familiar.
Always initiate contact using the official contact details listed on the forum profile, not those sent to you privately.
Be cautious if you are pushed to “verify” quickly or outside normal procedures.
When in doubt, stop the transaction and contact forum moderation before proceeding.
